  1. All installed and working but not how I had intended it to work The Ethernet cable running through conduits under the concrete floor wouldn’t support Starlink (Cat5 I think) so I had to pull a new Cat6 patch cable through. So now I’ve done away with the supplied Starlink cable which is a great plus. Each time I tried to put the Starlink router (gen2 model as gen3 isn’t available in Spain yet) into bypass mode I got an “oops an error occurred” message so I never got to try Starlink into my Linksys router. The Starlink router actually gives me a better range and with the purchased Ethernet accessory connection, I can access 4 hardwired security campers through a switch and the other two cameras via Wi-Fi. I must say that apart from the failed attempted bypass modes, Starlink is amazing. It’s easy to use and the 160 download speed sure does beat the 20mpb we could achieve via the old ip provider.
  2. I am finally about to order Starlink for our holiday property in rural Spain. It’s been a long time in the making due to various reasons but next month is my next opportunity to get Starlink delivered and up and running. Currently I use a Linksys EA7500 router for Wi-Fi in the property and three hardwired ethernet connections. First hardwired ethernet connection is to the TV box. The second is to a PTZ camera and the third goes to an external router to provide Wi-Fi in the garden. This second router has a single ethernet cable plugged in which handles 4 other security cameras via a hardwired ethernet point with POE switch. Due to above set up, I don’t want to change any of it, I just want Starlink to provide the internet as I can only receive a pitiful 15mb download and 1-2mb upload from the best provider in our area. I have researched the bypass mode process till my head is spinning and I am still lost with what to do, so many conflicting methods. Some say my Linksys router does not require any configurations, just put the Starlink into Bypass mode and others say my Linksys router requires configuring. Can anyone advise please?
  3. So you’ve found the answer to what I’m trying to achieve, was what I meant to post, sorry https://www.amazon.co.uk/Starlink-Adapters-Waterproof-Connectors-Accessories-Pair/dp/B0CZNXZ7DM/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=1GR7PPBHV81PJ&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.08Cw1CBiUCyQNUzE7RKVlMXrt0IezfR9i-Wh5rw61QkN0JoG3RDgfDrF1vNjSuj3WH9h9ElMXSaUh_wz_JbmSaR9UBHucBDVlb-3ggJuZBgqKjdKWWlxSWRYPV_UKV8RNq8nKddtfbfEnIfvQSXdrf00N8gcj7cWHf3dkgHPrUNEjLXgvbuhYii9iJOI3CjR.BknbK2xUzVm3kKabnR8HJDW5iu0RBj72h9YNc5zD9_M&dib_tag=se&keywords=SPX%2BPlug%2Bto%2BRJ45%2BAdapters%2C&qid=1712474956&s=electronics&sprefix=spx%2Bplug%2Bto%2Brj45%2Badapters%2B%2Celectronics%2C71&sr=1-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&th=1

  5. Thanks for the reply. I guess I will purchase a short Starlink cable and cut that up and add RJ45 connections to try it out
  6. Hi folks, I have an existing Ethernet cable that runs within a buried conduit from where the dish will be positioned right down to where the router will stand. This cable route runs through various walls and under concrete floors and was installed when the house was built. To run the actual Starlink cable would be a right pain, surface mounted and left visible 90% of its route. I have seen a video where the Starlink cable was severed a couple of feet from one end to feed it through a wall and then re-joined using RJ45 Ethernet plugs to continue the run. Being as the Starlink cable is just standard CAT 5 or 6 cable, is there such a made up cable tail on the market where one end is the Starlink plug and the other end is an RJ45 plug? so I could use the Ethernet cable within the conduit? I would like to avoid cutting up the provided cable if possible. Thanks
