  1. @RicochetStarlink, Thank-you, I thought it was $2,500 a month, My Bad. I got a PureVPN account but have yet to figure out how to make it work thru my NightHawk router. This type configuring is not in my wheelhouse. I absolutely love my Starlink (Muskman Internet), as I had no option in nowhereville, not even a cell signal. I will figure out a way to get into my security system thru a VPN eventually.
  2. I am desperate! I need to be able to access a resource at my Starlink location from WAN on occasion. Can someone please tell me how to do it without paying Starlink $2,500 a month for a static IP? I use a Netgear Nighthawk RAX200 at my Starlink location.
  3. If I have a question regarding an order that a label was created, but did not ship, is there a contact email address or chat for communication with Starlink?
  4. Any sources that have a step by step set-up would be greatly appreciated.
  5. Since VPNs do not work with the Starlink Gen 2 (GNAT) to create remote accessibility, is there a device or a way to achieve this ?
  6. I have the newer dish and Gen 2 router, with ethernet injector, running my NightHawk RAX200; I use a commercial alarm system that needs a hardwire RJ45, since I cannot port forward with the Starlink router and do not have a static IP, what is a proven work around ? My Leviton/HAI/Omnipro system must have a direct network link with an Ip and port open. I am really surprised the designers appear to have limited the system, they of all people know the need to securely access NAS units and other devices remotely. I know there has got to be a lot of people with this same issue and someone has found a way to make it work. Please do share !
  7. I am curious how speeds/priority for all these tiers will pan out. 1st Residential - 2nd 'Best Effort' Tier - 3rd RV ??? I know there is some scrambling being done to figure it all out, and I feel for those people. There should be a mapping system somewhere that shows addresses without any Landline, Cellular or high speed internet access that Starlink could use to prioritize service to those who truly need it.
  8. How would I; "I would send in a query or ticket" ?
  9. Eastern North Carolina ; Franklin, NC in the Burningtown area of the Appalachian Mountains; 699 Wilds Cove Road . I literally border the Nantahala National Forest. The few residents up here have no options except Satellite (Viasat or Hughesnet) because we are in hole forgotten and ignored, because there is not enough of us to get anyone to care.
  10. I have been waiting 17 months since my deposit, as patiently as possible for real access, via Starlink, to cyberspace only to feel the degradation of my dream. My current Hughesnet satellite is virtually useless for anything other than checking email without attachments, the latency is so bad, smoke signals on a windy day would work better. I do not even have any available cellular service or landlines for communication. I feel like a child trying to sleep while waiting on Christmas Morning, but instead it is my dream of Musk Man Internet !
  11. So I have been on a waiting list for 16 months, and I have to remain on a waitng list ? "Currently there is no waitlist - all orders will be shipped shortly after the order is placed, including to "Waitlist" areas on the Starlink Availability Map." What is different about the "RV" system or service ?
  12. I would appreciate it if Starlink would prioritize units to people who have no other options for internet except satellite or dial-up service. Where I am, I have no other options except satellite, I can not not even get a cell phone signal. I thought this was the intent of Starlink (Musk Man Internet) initially, or am I being selfish. I knew long term the plan was to make it available to all, but wasn't the initial plan to help those without options? I quess after 16 months of waiting I am just frustrated, my apologies.
  13. Ok, now I am getting worried... More cells have dropped off as available in 48 hrs ! I felt like I was so close to getting a system, now I am afraid my mid 2022 will be delayed even more.
  14. I live in the Burningtown area NW of Franklin, NC. I currently have to stay in the Metro Atlanta area during the week simply because I have no reliable internet service to conduct my consulting business. My HUGHSNET is so bad, how bad is it?, I get maybe 1 mb up and 18 down with a 50-60 ms latency, and that is on a great day ! I cannot hand shake with my client's NAS units half the time, or up/down load files error free, and wifi calling is like trying to talk to the ISS behind the moon! I know and understand the challenges Starlink is under, so this is not a complaint. I also am willing to sacrifice so that Ukraine has the systems in place so it can defend itself.
