  1. The Starlink dish cable with its bulky permanently connected connectors posses installation challenges for homes that have to have wildfire protection systems in place. The Starlink wall penetration escutcheon appears to be plastic and to have minimal resistance to fire and consequentially minimal resistance to allowing fire to get into a structure. What is the recommended practice for maintaining a structural fire barrier while allowing the Starlink dish cable through? FWIW: I omitted the escutcheon and installed a great glob of 3M IC15 fire barrier caulk (almost a whole tube) on both sides of the penetration. Is that advisable?
