Niall T
Hi there. I recently installed my first Starlink for a customer. They were using a 4G connection previously and wanted to get something more reliable. On the ground testing I was getting around 200meg. After install I was still getting around 200meg . However when I cut over the LAN I was getting around 30meg. After a few days the customer called me to say that the internet was down. When I called onsite it was back online. But still I was getting 30meg. I could see a lot of 2 seconds outage and a few 5 second. I have since had the antenna moved to an area where it should have a clearer line of sight. question is, should I see any outages even the 1 seconds outages or ideally should there be none at all? thanks in advance
RicochetStarlink
If the antenna has an unobstructed view of the sky, outages should be negligible. The 30Mbps speed could be a result of limitations on the LAN and/or WiFi networks that have nothing to do with Starlink.
