Tassos L
I am interested in buying Starlink. I am concerned about the dish shutting down when (the dish's) temperature exceeds 50deg. C. If the dish is exposed to the sun in the summer, in southern locations, the sun can heat it to more than 100deg.C. Does this mean that it will be shutting down almost all day? Do you have any experience regarding this issue?
RicochetStarlink
I lived in the desert of NM and had Starlink there for about a year. We had some REALLY hot, long and dry summer days. I'm sure the temperature of the dish significantly exceeded 50C. To my knowledge, I never had a shutdown or outage. If you are still concerned, reach out to Starlink Support at StarlinkResolutions@spacex.com.
