Starlink for travel?

Recommended Posts

Hello, I travel a lot. I find myself in a situation where I have to search the internet all the time.
I have a question for knowledgeable people,
Can I, for example, buy a Starlink in Berlin and use it in other countries?

Berliner Pl. 1, 67059 Ludwigshafen am Rhein, Germany

Hi @falsetrue

You could, however it would not be guaranteed service.

Mobility/travel is not the intended purpose of the starlink current generation radios ( dishy's )

Typically ( or currently ) the starlink service is aligned to your home address, or account registered address - Whereby you receive priority service.

Any where else, when you travel - You receive lesser priority outside of the geocell that your starlink originally is allocated too - When you first setup your account.

- Why lesser service and less priority?

Customers who are paying and are permanently setup already - Should get priority logically over travelling users.

Hope this helps and if you have any further queries feel free to reach out.
