My friend severed his V2 Starlink (motorised) cable between ethernet adaptor and antenna.  We repaired it by splicing the 8 wires together (soldered and adhesive heatshrink and a 2nd heatshrink on top of all 8 + gnd wire).

On rebooting, Starlink router (via wifi) works but there is no ethernet output. Purchased a new ethernet adapter and in installing that again the wifi side is working but not the ethernet adapter and we got a warning saying that there was a problem with the cable which was not there before the new ethernet adapter was installed but after the original damage.

Wondering if this indicates that the antenna is damaged or is it simply the cable ie it is not as well repaired as I thought it was?
