ToddStark
Folks, Just an FYI. We have had a significant snowfall in my area over the last two days and are expected to get a little more. Currently I have 15 inches of snow on the ground and my starklink on my roof doesn't seem to be affected. My current speedtest shows 39ms Ping, 34.64 Mbps Download, and 8.25 Mbps upload. This is a fairly consistent set measurement for me under ideal weather conditions. As a comparison I also have a DISH dish on my roof and I lost all signal and had to take a broom to it and clear off the snow so I could get reception again. StarlinkLeader
Id say v2 terminals will have bigger heaters and be able to tip the snow off... :)
balsafliesbetter
Some of us are hoping for smaller wattage. It might take some doing for Starlink as Tesla builds gigantic solar panel kits and cars you can't let the valet attendant park. My panels deliver 483 watts and my sensible night storage is 60 amp hours. 90 watts continuous is around 20 dollars a month for the Con Ed collection plate. It takes a lot of juice to woo a satellite.
