Qualify for Starlink

I would appreciate it if Starlink would prioritize units to people who have no other options for internet except satellite or dial-up service.

Where I am, I have no other options except satellite, I can not not even get a cell phone signal.

I thought this was the intent of Starlink (Musk Man Internet) initially, or am I being selfish.

I knew long term the plan was to make it available to all, but wasn't the initial plan to help those without options?

I quess after 16 months of waiting I am just frustrated, my apologies.

Don't worry a dishy will be delivered to you eventually - There is no priority to certain users unfortunately, filtering between such customers would be impossible.

The initial plan was to beta test, provide terminals to key groups and communities in direct urgent assistance of connectivity.

There is other options you could try and find such as local WISP's - Wireless Internet Providers.

The good part about getting a terminal later than everyone else - less bugs, outages when you eventually get your unit.

I received an email that stated my area would available by Aug. '22 --- The coverage map states available in 2023 --- it keeps getting pushed further out --- I do want this service --- working with other providers (Dish/ Direct) locks one into contracts -- Is there a firm timeline on area availbility??  Tks

My delivery was rescheduled for 2023 also after placing order in Jan.. It was delivered a few days ago!!! What nice surprise. Not the greatest speed in my area but it's better than what I had. Service price is up there for the speed some of us get. (Central Alberta)
