QTip
Hi, Does anyone happen to know whether the next hop gateway address in Bypass Mode will always be the same, 100.64.0.1? Reason for asking is I want to set up failover on our main firewall, and the easiest mechanism relies on tracking a couple of Internet via a known next hop, and only bringing up the default route if at least one is reachable. Thanks.
QTip
It seems nobody actually knows, even Starlink themselves who just answered with a rambling speil about public addresses. Maybe they just didn't understand the question and couldn't be bothered to find someone who does. That level of support doesn't inspire confidence in what is pretty expensive service. QTip
I did eventually get an actual answer after several that just spewed out chat-bot canned responses no remotely related to the question. The answer being that with some minor reservation, I can expect the gateway address to remain as 100.64.0.1.
