IP assigned to another country

Recommended Posts

Hello guys, i have a cuestión about my starlink service. I adquired and RV Service for my country (Colombia). Right now i am in Leticia, Amazonas, Colombia and the starlink service is giving my an IP from Sau Paulo, Brasil.

I know a litte bit about POP's location and there are three in South America (Bogota-Colombia, Sau Paulo-Brasil, and Chile).

So, my question is how can i apply to change my pop or my ip cause in the starlink politics they said if i am in another country for about 2 moths they gonna send my a email and the service could be cancelate.

Sorry for my bad English. I aprecite your comments

@iTOM,

Starlink dynamically assigns your POP based on the best routing they can provide at any given time. I have spoken with them about this twice in recent months and both times, the response was, "We cannot change your POP because it is assigned dynamically by the network based on the best available routing at any given moment."

Also, your location is determined but the GPS coordinates of your antenna, not the POP that Starlink assigns. Those GPS coordinates are picked up by the router (or maybe the antenna?) from the GPS satellite network, if I am not mistaken.

In short, I don't think you need to worry about any cancellation notices...
