I want to leave it dormant until I need to use it as I don't know how long I'll be travelling before I need to use it. It's highly likely I won't have any cell or wifi connectivity when I do decide to activate. My understanding is that it's still possible to activate via the iPhone app as the dish auto-finds a satellite and then allows a closed connection while activation takes place. But is that the case? Many thanks, Nick When you plug in the Starlink equipment, it will, indeed find a satellite... but if it's not activated, you won't be able to use the signal.
