Axil
Wanting to see where users are able to see their status, Priority or Basic Access. And I want to know where users can access history of their data usage. I live in Mexico, and I was getting 350MB download speeds; now it's around 60MB. My location: CVW+5W EL CHORRO, BCS, MEXICO. So I'm trying to figure out if I'm being throttled, or what changed. I had a person staying with me (no longer here) who streamed a lot of the day. I was nervous about getting flagged with the Fair Use limit, but he kept telling me few people live here so Starlink doesn't care. But now I think maybe they did care. But I can't see my actual history (beyond this month) or what my status is, or whether I'm being throttled in any way. This seems pretty fundamental, but I've been through Starlink forums, Reddit forums and a lot of online searches, and I'm still looking for this information. tl;dr -> Things were fast; now they are slow. Why?
RicochetStarlink
In the US, if you have fixed service (i.e., Residential or Business), then you have Priority Access. If you have mobile service (Roam, Maritime, etc.), you have basic access. This is as described in the Starlink Fair Use Policy If you are not in the US, use the dropdown box at the top of the page to select the country where you have service to see the rules for your location. As for usage, currently you can only see your data usage for the current billing period.
Axil
Thanks so much for the rundown. I am not able to locate the dropdown menu you describe. I also heard that the only way to see the level a user is on is to try to buy the extra credits and then Starlink will show that to the user. But I can't see how to access that to even find out. Finally, I am in Mexico but I see no way to get the website to display in English. Any help with any of these things would be greatly appreciated. And I will continue to try to figure out how to see my usage history, as that seems quite basic, especially given that decisions at some times in some realms as to data limits are based on this. Thanks!
RicochetStarlink
@Axil, If you want a definitive answer, you should open a ticket with Starlink Support through the mobile app. >> "I am not able to locate the dropdown menu you describe." My bad. That dropdown was on the main Starlink Legal page. As it turns out, the Fair Use Policy page appear to be the same in all countries. >> "I am in Mexico but I see no way to get the website to display in English." You could copy the contents of the page in Spanish, then paste it into https://translate.google.com and ask to translate from Spanish to English... not perfect, but worth a try.
