Wired connection to Dahua camera dome

Hello,

We have a strange issue with a Starlink wired connection to a Dahua camera dome setup.  We have 2 domes, one is Master, wired connected to Starlink and one is Slave, the Master provide WiFi internet conection to the Slave ( they are 60 m away ). On site connected on Starlink WIFi we can acces from our phones both cameras.

Our issue is accessing the cameras remote frome home, we can acces the Slave but the Master not ???

Is it possible Starlink not to give acces to a different WiFi connection to the cable wired Master camera? 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Please help 🙂🙂

All the best,

Cosmin B.

@Cosma,

I have no idea what the details are of the networking for these Dahua cameras.

The only thing I can think of the might be an issue is Starlink's use of Carrier-Grade Network Address Translation (CG-NAT). CG-NAT can make it difficult (impossible?) to access devices on your Starlink WiFi network. However, if CG-NAT were the problem here, I would expect it to affect both cameras.

You might want to take your question to a Dahua camera forum. Perhaps someone there has figured out how to get these cameras working with Starlink.

Thanks!
