  1. Hi Everyone, I know this has been brought up in another post, but we are now in the Q2 of 2022 and StarLink has made available the Business Services. Starlink There website does outline the following: Starlink Business customers will benefit from 24/7, prioritized support and a publicly routable IPv4 address. Publicly routable IPv4 address is a shady term it may not mean Static IP. Is anyone in this forum already on the Business service can confirm if Static IP's are offered now? Would really appreciate the feedback. Cheers

  2. I just received my Starlink and the Wifi seems to work fine, but since I already have a 3 node google mesh setup, does it make sense to get the ethernet adapter and incorporate it? It appears the Starlink router wouldn't be needed at all in that case? Meaning, I would just use the ethernet adapter and plug my main google mesh node to that? That means, I would just leave the Starlink router in my camper with an extra cable and I could just bring the antenna along when camping. If that is the case, it means the antenna has all the smarts and the router is really just a wifi access point?

  3. I ordered a pole adapter and included in the box is a spiffy gray nylon bag type item with a pull cord and a carrying strap. Anyone know what this is for?

  4. Hi! A little back story to help fit your responses, if you do respond. I live in the absolute middle of nowhere in NW TN. Current internet provider is Frontier (hahahaha) at 3.0 down and 0.4 up. I'm a widow. I'm old. No children to help. No way for me to safely access the roof. Picture below shows where the Starlink dish should be set for a "GREAT" location. There are a couple other locations that the Starlink app said were GREAT, but this place already has a hole(s) in the brick, going into a spare bedroom I call the Computer Room. The acceptable distance from the house, based on the app, is about 50'. I was thinking a ground tripod, with a 10'-20' high mast (I am 5' tall and held my phone over my head using the Starlink obstruction app)? I could hire someone to trench the cable into the ground maybe. And then I could go into the existing hole in the brick? The pics are facing north. However, I have been told on Facebook that the cable is not rated to be buried, even if placed in a PVC pipe of some sort. I am also having an impossible time finding anyone to hire the job out! That's why the ground mount was appealing to me. I sure hope you don't tell me I'm nuts because I just today put the $99 deposit down on the system. Thanks for your help.

  5. I am unable to get SL to provide internet to my pc via wifi. Shows connected but no internet. Wifi is on, I’ve gone through the setting on pc and all looks good. Airplane mode is turned off. Other wifi devices in house are working.

  6. I received my Rectangular Dish, since Starlink omitted the Ethernet connection between the router and dish , are there any plans on making a short cable to go between say a RV and the outside? When the original dish was available "I couldn't get one" I had planned on installing a weather proof box on my camper with a Ethernet Keystone Jack, so it would make it easier to setup and break down the equipment, the new system makes this difficult without having to pull the cable through the camper and back out each time I want to move. The New RV system I was hoping had some sort of cable to address this, but it's the same equipment everyone gets. Is Starlink planing on making it's use in a RV more convenient?

  7. My new Starlink was not doing very well, dropping service roughly every three minutes. Then, a software update was downloaded and applied. Now, the dish drops connection around once each minute, averaging about 12 seconds per gap, which causes all my devices to disconnect and try to switch to some other AP. So, is there any way to back out a Starlink software update? At least I might get back from unbelievably worthless service to just inexcusably awful service.
