Available cells changing back to Waitlist

Is it my imagination or have https://www.starlink.com/map cells previously indicating Available, now changed back to Waitlist ?

Is this due to equipment isses ?

Is this due to capacity ?

I am in a completly dead zone for any land line internet or cell phone service.

Been on the waitlst for 15 months, does this mean my new projected mid 2022, may slide again ?

My brother and I refer to Starlink as "Muskman Internet", no negative connotations intended.

I live in the Burningtown area NW of Franklin, NC.

I currently have to stay in the Metro Atlanta area during the week simply because I have no reliable internet service to conduct my consulting business.

My HUGHSNET is so bad, how bad is it?, I get maybe 1 mb up and 18 down with a 50-60 ms latency, and that is on a great day !

I cannot hand shake with my client's NAS units half the time, or up/down load files error free, and wifi calling is like trying to talk to the ISS behind the moon!

I know and understand the challenges Starlink is under, so this is not a complaint.

I also am willing to sacrifice so that Ukraine has the systems in place so it can defend itself.

Possibly due to congestion - As they increase the number of satellites the capacity increases.

- More launches means more satellites 🙂

I would send in a query or ticket if you can as your in the USA i would expect to not be waiting this long.

I am having the same difficulty. I have been waiting almost 16 months in rural east Texas. It was initially late 2021 when service was expanding, then pushed back to mid 2022; however it still shows as waitlisted. If I type in my address under a different email, it states that Starlink plans to expand  service for my area in mid 2023. I am not sure why this keeps changing? Service versus the ability to ship equipment is different, it would be very helpful if more details were provided.

We also have no ability to have any internet, at least one that will work, so I am also commuting to be able to access internet. I will be continuing to wait and hope we can get clarity on the delays soon. I have heard from others that were able to get it in South Texas, and they are not considered remote- have access to other solutions.

Try and locate a Wireless ISP ( Wireless internet service provider )

There is many in the rural texas area which can most likely get signal to you.

Assumption - Im thinking there is huge demand from subscribers in the americas region, putting pressure on to get more satellites into the constellation - to improve capacity. So they have changed a number of cells over for curve ordering demand.

Safe to say its most likely due to scaling - Expected bandwidth usage maybe higher per user than predicted.

Keep an eye on the availability map

Which area in particular?
