  1. Has the dish moved? Its possibly moved from wind? Have you done a complete power down and reboot?
  2. If the router is assigned to your account - You can then login to the associated user and make changes to the router. You cannot use someone elses account to make changes on an owned router - assigned to another user.
  3. I would recommend getting an experienced network engineer to configure DHCP appropriately for you. There is numerous cheap routers that can run openwrt and do captive portals....
  4. Yep - Starlink will work all OK for VOIP. Starlink achieves 30ms latency.
  5. AT&T does support WiFi Calling - https://www.att.com/features/wifi-calling/ So you just need WiFi Your queries: you mention using WiFi Calling across Starlink at major events. Answer: I run a company which provides WiFi to events, we use both individual starlink kits and starlink kits plugged into " Mesh " Wireless - Where we can push internet to say 15-20 different areas across a large music festival. Are these major events at locations away from the location of your own Starlink system? No, you've ventured down a rabbit hole - WiFi Calling/WiFi doesn't just connect to all starlinks, ONLY the WiFi networks that you're connected to. Could you explain exactly how your cellphone would access a Starlink system other than your own? As mentioned above you're assuming that I can roam on WiFi Calling and use everyone elses WiFi - Not the case. You can only use WiFI networks, where you have the password and your connected. - WiFi is not intended to replace cell signal... its lower range. I assume that your phone would be detecting that Starlink system's router's wi-fi; would it not usually be password-protected to prevent it from being overwhelmed by many users? See above. WiFi Calling runs on top of WiFi, it uses the internet - It will work across any WiFi with at least 2mbps/2mbps up and down.
  6. Have you configured DHCP on the LAN NIC? Are you getting an IP from the DHCP server from another device plugged into the switch?
  7. It wouldn't hurt trying the lite plan first in all honesty, see how you go then upgrade 🙂
  8. Hi There, I would recommend checking out this article: https://www.starlink.com/nz/support/article/7d87da5b-ff9c-1d52-a433-4a78c20b6fd5
  9. If you run starlink router into your laptop via usb ethernet adapter, then you go back into the network switch via ethernet port on laptop... So 2x networks.... into laptop. Internet in, network out to switch... Run DHCP server on your laptop, radius. Configure the DHCP to your captive portal/radius. DHCP runs out from laptop, captive portal etc. There you go.... laptop running captive portal.
  10. Hi @Stickster Unfortunately it sounds like the router has failed. Ensure the UPS is of high quality - The starlink PSU's don't like generators and cheaper UPS's.
  11. You need an appropriate router to handle the captive portal. Try a unifi or openWRT router for captive portals. Starlink routers do not currently support captive portals.
  12. The adapter won't allow enough power for POE across that tiny ribbon. Trying to power a dish via a tiny ribbon cable - Not ideal. Run a third party flat starlink cable.
  13. In most cases, Starlink requires a valid, consistent payment method on file for automatic monthly charges. While you can use a virtual card to purchase the hardware initially and pay the first month, frequently changing your card details each month might cause payment issues. If Starlink’s system successfully processes each new card without interruption, it should work—but there’s always a risk of service disruption if the payment fails. Starlink does support Apple Pay. Google Pay support can depend on your region or specific Starlink payment portals. It’s best to check Starlink’s official support pages or contact them directly to confirm if Google Pay is an option for your account.
  14. hi There, First off we are not official starlink support. I've removed your email address from the post. Have you attempted to login via web browser off a difference device onto the starlink website? - Then attempted to check whats wrong with the service? or lodged a support ticket?
  15. Hi @roadrunnerray Yes you can stream - But i wouldn't recommend streaming two TV's on a starlink residential lite plan... 2x 5-10mbps? .. not on a lite plan. The router is hard wired to the starlink terminal. Yes the starlink dish is powered. Router effective range is dependent on multiple factors - See starlink specifications for more information. Yes you can run your printer on starlink.
  16. I suspect that the bypass mode is the issue, I’d recommend turning it off and adding the nas to the network via Ethernet. Wifi is turned off on bypass mode, as it bypasses the router
  17. It’s because the MAC address changes. disconnect the ring camera, connect and make sure the mesh is running. Then reconnect the ring camera to your wifi, it will then connect to your meshed node.
  18. Whilst I’m not an engineer, I’m assuming it’s the router which does it. But the Starlink may also call back home for stability / network reporting. within the app under statistics and the app widgets - dns, ping is shown - indicating how stable the Starlink terminal internet connection is.. based on its connectivity. This won’t affect your connection or data use, as I’m pretty sure spacex.com and Starlink.com traffic won’t count towards your data cap.
  19. Hey Philip Sorry I won't translate back to german otherwise It might come out weird! 😄 WiFi Calling not working. - Tips for fixing WiFi Calls on Starlink: Firstly, do a big reboot - Turn everything on and off. Including your phone as well. Wait 5 minutes between turning it back on ( cell phone ) Turn off WiFi Calling on your phone, with WiFi OFF. Then wait 2-3 minutes. Turn WiFi ON - Then re-activate WiFi Calling on your phone. This will hopefully reactivate WiFi Calling. - The process is to ensure WiFi Calling is turned off and back on again without WiFi interfering. Otherwise if that doesn't work I'd recommend contacting your Mobile provider as they are essentially providing the WiFi calling endpoint on your cell service. Starlink doesn't block WiFi calling - However mobile networks can disable wifi calling when users are on international IP's as a way to push their customers to roaming plans. Hope this helps 🙂
  20. Starlink data consumption is only calculated by incoming and outgoing of the Starlink terminal. I’d assume something on your nas is linked remotely.. or the sync, was done across internet rather than local… also I’d connect the Starlink router and monitor incoming and outgoing bandwidth… no bypass mode. Ensure all networked clients are on the Starlink wifi and not going back over the internet to connect to the nas.
  21. Hi there can you elaborate further on wlan calls?
  22. Hi There inowuld keep moving it until it’s happy at its expected alignment. even if you have trees in the way, whilst it’s not ideal - you will get just as good performance as you do with it misaligned.. so I would get it to where it’s happy. however, you can run it misaligned and whilst it’s not ideal - you may or may not get full expected performance and stability. do take note it can take sometime when it’s booting up to get its orientation right.
  23. Anything around or over 300VA. Only small, they don't use a lot of power.
  24. I would recommend contacting Starlink for a replacement. Major components maybe damaged from water inside the unit.
  25. Hi @will e Some cell providers and cell phones support " WiFi Calling " Wi-Fi calling is a feature that allows you to make and receive calls and texts over a Wi-Fi connection, instead of using your mobile network. It's useful when you have poor mobile coverage or no coverage. You can then use any WiFi to do phone calls across rather than over cell. I'd reach out to your mobile/cell provider to check if they support WiFi Calling. I currently use WiFi Calling across starlink ( at major events ) and it works perfectly. Hope this helps.
