  1. I'd recommend submitting a support ticket to Starlink within your app as this is most likely a logistics/distribution error, whereby the wrong label has been applied to the wrong box... Bit unfortunate, but i'm confident that Starlink support via support ticket will assist and help you out with getting a new unit. ( and removing the other terminal from your app 😄 )
  2. I’ve got both a Mini kit and a Standard kit with the Gen 3 router as well, so I looked into this. Unfortunately, you can’t directly connect the Mini dish to the Gen 3 router. The Mini’s Ethernet port is for LAN access, not for feeding its signal into another Starlink router. The Gen 3 router’s WAN port is designed for the Standard dish only, and yes, it does put out ~57 V PoE — plugging that into the Mini could very likely damage it. If you want to mesh them together, the supported way is: Run the Mini with its own router. Run the Standard with the Gen 3 router. Then create a wireless mesh link between them (Starlink calls this “mesh nodes”), or use a third-party Ethernet bridge/mesh system if you need wired interconnects. In short: no safe wired way to hook the Mini’s port into the Gen 3 router WAN. Wireless mesh or external networking gear is the only option. Hope this helps 🙂
  3. If you think there is an outage, post here with details ❤️
  4. No just get an ethernet switch?
  5. It will be the no name solar wifi extenders, they repeat signal rather than mesh. Use starlink routers/mesh extenders... Otherwise your trying to achieve next gen wifi with half broken chinese wifi radios.
  6. Did you reboot it?
  7. Today cloudflare has experienced a large scale DNS resolver outage which has effected large parts of the internet. DNS resolvers enable servers and many other devices on the internet to " find " or " resolve " dns queries. This resulted in a large scale DNS outage which effected many ISP's such as Starlink. Rest assured - If your starlink internet was having issues earlier today its from the cloudflare outage. CloudFlare Status Page
  8. Tried running combined network 2.4/5ghz together? May have to run a lower end AP for the devices on IOT WiFi ( I call it IOT wifi because they use wifi for low bandwidth comms ) - Try a ubnt unifi AP - You can reconfigure them fairly easily to do 2.4ghz without unscheduled power delivery/management.
  9. The ' Tesla Explr9 ' is not compatible with starlink, it doesn't contain any KU/KA band phased array antennas. Tesla/Starlink/SpaceX does not provide any Sim cards.
  10. Has the dish moved? Its possibly moved from wind? Have you done a complete power down and reboot?
  11. If the router is assigned to your account - You can then login to the associated user and make changes to the router. You cannot use someone elses account to make changes on an owned router - assigned to another user.
  12. I would recommend getting an experienced network engineer to configure DHCP appropriately for you. There is numerous cheap routers that can run openwrt and do captive portals....
  13. Yep - Starlink will work all OK for VOIP. Starlink achieves 30ms latency.
  14. AT&T does support WiFi Calling - https://www.att.com/features/wifi-calling/ So you just need WiFi Your queries: you mention using WiFi Calling across Starlink at major events. Answer: I run a company which provides WiFi to events, we use both individual starlink kits and starlink kits plugged into " Mesh " Wireless - Where we can push internet to say 15-20 different areas across a large music festival. Are these major events at locations away from the location of your own Starlink system? No, you've ventured down a rabbit hole - WiFi Calling/WiFi doesn't just connect to all starlinks, ONLY the WiFi networks that you're connected to. Could you explain exactly how your cellphone would access a Starlink system other than your own? As mentioned above you're assuming that I can roam on WiFi Calling and use everyone elses WiFi - Not the case. You can only use WiFI networks, where you have the password and your connected. - WiFi is not intended to replace cell signal... its lower range. I assume that your phone would be detecting that Starlink system's router's wi-fi; would it not usually be password-protected to prevent it from being overwhelmed by many users? See above. WiFi Calling runs on top of WiFi, it uses the internet - It will work across any WiFi with at least 2mbps/2mbps up and down.
  15. Have you configured DHCP on the LAN NIC? Are you getting an IP from the DHCP server from another device plugged into the switch?
  16. It wouldn't hurt trying the lite plan first in all honesty, see how you go then upgrade 🙂
  17. Hi There, I would recommend checking out this article: https://www.starlink.com/nz/support/article/7d87da5b-ff9c-1d52-a433-4a78c20b6fd5
  18. If you run starlink router into your laptop via usb ethernet adapter, then you go back into the network switch via ethernet port on laptop... So 2x networks.... into laptop. Internet in, network out to switch... Run DHCP server on your laptop, radius. Configure the DHCP to your captive portal/radius. DHCP runs out from laptop, captive portal etc. There you go.... laptop running captive portal.
  19. Hi @Stickster Unfortunately it sounds like the router has failed. Ensure the UPS is of high quality - The starlink PSU's don't like generators and cheaper UPS's.
  20. You need an appropriate router to handle the captive portal. Try a unifi or openWRT router for captive portals. Starlink routers do not currently support captive portals.
  21. The adapter won't allow enough power for POE across that tiny ribbon. Trying to power a dish via a tiny ribbon cable - Not ideal. Run a third party flat starlink cable.
  22. In most cases, Starlink requires a valid, consistent payment method on file for automatic monthly charges. While you can use a virtual card to purchase the hardware initially and pay the first month, frequently changing your card details each month might cause payment issues. If Starlink’s system successfully processes each new card without interruption, it should work—but there’s always a risk of service disruption if the payment fails. Starlink does support Apple Pay. Google Pay support can depend on your region or specific Starlink payment portals. It’s best to check Starlink’s official support pages or contact them directly to confirm if Google Pay is an option for your account.
  23. hi There, First off we are not official starlink support. I've removed your email address from the post. Have you attempted to login via web browser off a difference device onto the starlink website? - Then attempted to check whats wrong with the service? or lodged a support ticket?
