  1. For an additional monthly fee of $25.00, you can move your Starlink to new locations within your continent to receive service anywhere Starlink provides active coverage. To see active coverage areas please view the Starlink Availability Map Common queries about Starlink Portability: For an additional monthly fee, the Portability feature enables users to temporarily move their Starlink to new locations in order to receive service anywhere within the same continent Starlink provides active coverage. To see active coverage areas, please view the Starlink Availability Map. Portable users are served best effort and can expect lower service levels than fixed users, particularly in areas marked as "Waitlist" on the Availability Map. Add Portability on Your Account: If you are an active customer, you can enable Portability from your account page and it will take effect immediately. If you have multiple Starlinks, Portability must be selected and purchased for each location. When you enable Portability, you are charged on your next monthly invoice. Portability is charged in full monthly increments and cannot be pro-rated. The Portability feature and billing charges will be ongoing until you decide to disable it. Once you disable Portability, the recurring charge will stop after your next monthly invoice and Portability will only remain active for the remainder of the current billing cycle. For example, if you enable Portability on March 12th and your next billing date is on April 1st, you will be charged $25 on April 1st for the full previous month. Limitations: Best Effort Service: Portability service is provided on a best effort basis. Stated speeds and uninterrupted use of services are not guaranteed. Starlink prioritizes network resources for users at their registered service address. When you bring your Starlink to a new location, this prioritization may result in degraded service, particularly at times of peak usage or network congestion. International Travel: Starlink can only be used within the same continent as the registered Service Address. If you use Starlink in a foreign country for more than two months, you will be required to move your registered service address to your new location or purchase an additional Starlink to maintain service. No In-Motion Use: We do not support Starlink use in motion at this time. Using the Starlink Kit in motion will void the limited warranty of your Kit. While our teams are actively working to make it possible to use Starlink on moving vehicles (e.g., automobiles, RVs, boats), Starlink is not yet configured to be safely used in this way. Can I add additional service locations to my account? To add an additional service location to your Account, you can place another Starlink order, as availability permits, by clicking "+" in the Locations section of your account. Each additional location requires the purchase of a Starlink and Starlink subscription. There is a limit of 3 locations per account and no limit for Business accounts. If the new area does not have service availability, you will have the ability to place a deposit for that location. You cannot add a location in a different country. You can also enable Portability to receive deprioritized service anywhere Starlink has coverage within the same continent as your Service Address. Learn more about Portability here. Note: You can view Starlink's service availability map Does Starlink Portability replace the need for changing my service address? No. Although Starlink Portability enables users to use their Starlink terminal in other locations, users will have less priority on the network. If you are going to be in a different area for an extended period of time, Starlink requires you to change your registered service address location (subject to availability) to ensure the best experience. Users who stay in the same area outside their service address location for an extended period of time may see a further decrease in performance to accommodate users at their Service Address.
  2. Degraded service is related to a number of factors: Satellite congestion Weather Obstructions Solar events Try restarting your starlink router, and dishy - and/or turn it off and wait 15 minutes. If your unit continues to get degraded service without obstacles and without obvious weather events - Get in touch with Starlink support your unit may have issues and need further diagnosis.
  3. If there is no obstructions to the starlink dishy then request a replacement - indicate as much as you can regarding the fault.
  4. Hi Bruce I'd recommend the DishyPowa.com as its a decent DC starlink ethernet adapter that you can use at the bottom of your tower or on the tower if you wanted + you can then use shielded cable. DishyPowa is a starlink DC ethernet power source with the correct pinout for starlink PoE.
  5. HI Sorry for the delay in our response. Unfortunately we cannot assist with urgent orders via the forum - we are community based.
  6. SpaceX and NASA are targeting no earlier than Wednesday, April 27 for Falcon 9’s launch of Crew-4, Dragon’s fourth science expedition mission to the International Space Station, from Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Launch is targeted for 3:52 a.m. ET (7:52 UTC), with a backup opportunity available on Thursday, April 28. This will be the first flight of the Dragon spacecraft supporting this mission and the fourth flight for Falcon 9’s first stage booster, which previously launched CRS-22, Crew-3, and Turksat 5B. Following stage separation, Falcon 9’s first stage will land on the A Shortfall of Gravitas droneship stationed in the Atlantic Ocean. During their time at the orbiting laboratory, the Crew-4 astronauts will conduct over 200 science experiments in areas such as materials science, health technologies, and plant science to prepare for human exploration beyond low-Earth orbit and benefit life on Earth. The webcast for the Crew-4 mission will go live about four hours before liftoff.
  7. Your asus mesh WiFi doesn't tell the starlink router " hey bro, sorry but ahh I've got the wifi here brother, so you can just turn off " Unfortunately inter-connectivity and inter-configuration at that level is just not available * yet * - give it 10 years. You need to disable WiFi on the starlink router if you want to just use your mesh wifi. The asus mesh wifi won't get the same speeds due to a) the AP's have to tunnel to each other, consuming RF band space for the uplink to each AP b) the WiFi radio in the starlink router is most likely above the asus mesh radio's spec wise - enabling faster speeds/aka data rates. Hope this helps 🙂
  8. 1) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.starlink.mobile At the very bottom states - " Requires Android 7.0 and up " 2) No you cannot delay your order. 3) Coverage - See the coverage map here -> 4) Trying to get a very precise answer for this is near impossible. Its like asking - How high will my water pressure be in my new city to state regulators. - Your speed depends on a number of factors nor is it guaranteed just like any other internet service you sign up for. Like many users are not sure - However rest assured already there is many many happy customers using starlink in the middle of no where. Take note - Not ideal getting starlink in urban city areas. Its designed for rural areas mainly.
  9. Visit DishyPowa for more Information
  10. Hi @falsetrue You could, however it would not be guaranteed service. Mobility/travel is not the intended purpose of the starlink current generation radios ( dishy's ) Typically ( or currently ) the starlink service is aligned to your home address, or account registered address - Whereby you receive priority service. Any where else, when you travel - You receive lesser priority outside of the geocell that your starlink originally is allocated too - When you first setup your account. - Why lesser service and less priority? Customers who are paying and are permanently setup already - Should get priority logically over travelling users. Hope this helps and if you have any further queries feel free to reach out.
  11. I suspect the groundstation feeding the sat for your geocell was infact effected by the same storm. - Yes you will get interference during storms causing signal loss. - No signal received indicates your terminal could not connect to any starlink sats during the storm. Id also assume that the newer dish units the rectangle model - Will handle weather impacts better ( enhancements from the first models )
  12. Will be soon! - Its already being rolled out to some users.
  13. Thanks for that - should add it to a resources post :)
  14. How about not? - Spammers should be banned permanently.
  15. You cannot pause starlink internet services. In particular with the beta dish's - Once you cancel thats it.
  16. So shall we put satellite internet development on hold? The boca chica site is no longer the prime interest of projects for spacex - They are moving.
  17. Its due to geolocking - contact Apple TV re euronews accessibility and they should be able to unblock it for you.
  18. Got your starlink yet? :)
  19. Highly recommend UBNT wireless access points :) They have mesh capability and improve range dramatically for a good price. www.ubnt.com
  20. Yes many people are using starlink in hawaii already. Order yours today :)
  21. lol? What does anti-vax have anything to do with starlink? Nothing. Ban hammer needs to come out
  22. Mobility will be available to starlink soon - They will enable several main or single home locations - Whilst when you travel you will get 2nd priority on the satellites as home owners assigned to the geocells your roaming too should be getting first priority. Hope this helps.
  23. Rectangle dish is the higher premium starlink dish.
