  1. Starlink is CGNAT IPv4 - It doesn't support static IP addresses.
  2. Yes you can use starlink for VPN's. Mobility wise - Starlink is in beta for mobility purposes.
  3. Nice spam?
  4. Your looking at between 60-120ms. It will get smaller as sats increase laser backhaul between each other instead of using ground stations for immediate uplink.
  5. Yep, you can run fiber but only from the router. Dish requires POE.
  6. Correct, laser uplinks. They have been testing it for a while, AFAIK the laser uplinking is not in production yet - but is installed on the current version of sats. So its a matter of development testing, getting it right. ( To be honest pointing lasers from sats at each other in space is horrendously complicated )
  7. Some users internationally have been waiting over a year. Thats a fairly good indication they have given you even though its a big time period. I would say with the increased demand your package maybe late + covid restrictions in place also delay logistics. I wouldn't panic - Focus on Wireless AP's you can install around the house so your starlink is used to its full potential once it does arrive :)
  8. Good stuff! Let us know how it goes :)
  9. Then google for a smaller grommet? People are not going to hand feed you a link to the precise grommet you need - We have no clue how many cables, or what cable your running through your wall or how thick the wall is.
  10. Seems it will be happening very soon - " ESIM " terminals coming soon according to Elon. https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2021/08/starlink-for-vehicles-plan-has-ruggedized-terminal-for-extreme-heat-and-cold/
  11. Seems Elon has had a little chat about starlink's service moving into ESIM - Earth Station in Motion. The units will handle higher and lower temps. However the units will need to be professionally installed and most likely will not have a self install option. More information here - https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2021/08/starlink-for-vehicles-plan-has-ruggedized-terminal-for-extreme-heat-and-cold/
  12. Contact starlink via the starlink.com - What area are you in?
  13. search forum - other threads relating to marine starlink internet
  14. Running WiFi without a password is plain silly. chupa had good answer
  15. No need too lubricate anything, the motors are hardly used.
  16. Yeah, i'd tag in the Hulu executive/CEO everytime it occurs... They will have to stop doing IP lookups for geo location on starlink IP's eventually.
  17. Yep, dish isnt network owned.
  18. Status or predictions of incoming outages due to misalignment or alignment issues. Also providing a insight into current development and issues with status - That way users can indicate if the service stability is viable for incoming or planned projects, work etc. Being able to see sat immersion as well would be cool - that way you could see if your dishy is struggling for sat band space.
  19. Hi MelissaWelcome to the Starlink Forum. 1 - Get starlink dish installed on a central point location - e.g main barn. 2 - Link internet to other barns via PtP ( Point to Point Link ) or Point to multi point link.3 - Setup Wireless access point on end of PtP link in each barn or location you want internet at. 4 - You then have multiple areas connected. Point to multi point: Starlink Internet Router Barn #1 -> PtMP 5GHZ AP - Barn #1 -> 5GHZ CPE @ Barn #2Barn #3 CPE also can connect into PtMP 5GHZ AP and so on and so forth.. ( Line of sight required )Point to point hip hop: Starlink Internet Router Barn #1 -> PtP 5GHZ Barn #1 Roof -> Barn #2 Roof 5GHZ CPE -> Network Switch with AP for inside -> 2nd PtP 5GHZ on roof of barn #2 points to barn #3 -> Barn#3 CPE 5GHZ then plugs into Access point. ubiquiti sells PtMP and CPE's - I highly recommend watching some Youtube channels such as CrossTalk Solutions -> https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVS6ejD9NLZvjsvhcbiDzjw CPE - Customer provided equipment - its the customer end so to speak that picks up the PtMP AP signal. The units majority use 5ghz+ and creates what you call an invisible ethernet cable between two or more locations. Even better try to get a local WISP in your area to set you up :)
  20. It is a 802.3BT PoE adapter. " BT PoE "You may find some DC powered units - such as this one - https://www.planet.com.tw/storage/products/49326/C-IPOE-270_IPOE-270-12V_L.pdf Dual DC input etc.
  21. I'd contact Hulu and explain that exactly - You're on starlink and your IP changes and your IP is not relevant to your location. They can disable it on their end if you can provide justification.
  22. The current units I believe are for static install only. Whilst mobile dish units are in development and testing currently.
  23. At this time we have identified the root cause within the latest Starlink App version release, and will work as quickly as possible to apply the necessary resolution in our application software. This process may take a few days, and we greatly appreciate your understanding as we work behind the scenes. Please let us know at any time if there is anything else you may need from Starlink Support, for which we will be happy to provide assistance. Thank you! If you're having issues setting up or connecting this may explain the issues.
  24. Probably not ideal for a train. Cell is still ideal for train but run multiple modems into a WAN balancer/load balancer. Marine - Looking at next year, end of 2022. There is a few marine radio manufacturers seeking licenses to produce equipment for starlinks service.
  25. Nice setup man!
