  1. Well, not without a good bit more information. Have you contacted support?
  2. Excellent questions. Probably best directed to Starlink Support.
  3. Be sure you split the 5GHz and 2.4GHz networks using the mobile app. This solves a lot of wireless connectivity issues.
  4. Try using the Reset Password link on the Starlink Support website. If that doesn't work, open a ticket.
  5. Yes, @Gildas, you can. I have used Starlink in Bypass Mode with a third-party router for several months and it worked quite well.
  6. IPv4 v IPv6 doesn't matter... at least, not as far as your access to sites is concerned. Starlink support both IPv4 and IPv6 addressing and traffic. If, when, and where it is needed, they should be able to route IPv4 traffic over IPv6 and vice-versa. The real culprit here is Geo-fencing. If you are near the US border with Canada, you could be picking up a satellite that is over the US and connecting to a US ground station. Guess what that means? Even though you are physically in Canada, your IP address will be associated with the location of the ground station. Feel free to open a support ticket to talk directly to Starlink Support about this. It comes up pretty regularly. However, I can tell you that, to date, the answer has been that there is no way to guarantee a customer an IP address that maps to their physical location. The reason has to do with Starlink's Network Design and Architecture -- which aren't changing any time soon. HTH
  7. @Aashvi78, This gets at the very core of Starlink's network design and infrastructure. It isn't going to change any time soon. Feel free to open a ticket with Starlink Support to discuss with them, but when I asked, this is the answer I got.
  8. I've no idea how that happened. Apparently, you were able to post some readable text afterwards. You are the only person who can edit your posts. Sorry.
  9. Firstly, while Starlink Support has struggled mightily to keep up with their exploding customer base, there have been and continue to be some fits, starts, and difficulty. However, some of us have been customers long enough to remember when it literally took weeks to get a response to a Support Ticket. If nothing else, Starlink has shown that they are serious about customer service and mean to improve support as quickly as they can -- all while their customer base is growing at unimaginable rates. Secondly, if and when you do talk to Starlink Support, I hope your tonight is a little less confrontational. Truthfully, I have been down that road with support and I believe that it actually works against you as a customer. Starlink Support is overwhelmed. If they have to choose one of two customers to work with and one of them bit their head off in a Support Ticket, which one do you suppose they'll help first. This is just human nature. Just sayin'... Now, to the question behind your wall of text... Before you turn on Bypass Mode on your Starlink router, connect your third-party router to the Starlink Router and connect two or more devices to the third-party router (wired or wireless, it matters not). Once you can confirm that you have Internet connectivity from devices through your third-party router, turn on bypass mode. HTH.
  10. @JimboJones, no one here works for Starlink we all are (or were) customers. We feel your pain, but we didn't cause it. 😉
  11. @AAA and @Tony Giancoli, This morning, I stumbled across the info about becoming a Starlink Reseller. Go to https://support.starlink.com/?topic=9b7746f8-e2ee-0fd4-7ffb-3bbe0ab35cbc and follow the link in the first question...
  12. @Michelle Adam, Did you ever get this resolved? If not, please contact Starlink Support. The post linked below provides details on sending email to Starlink Support when you cannot login to your account.
  13. @GreenMtns, Firstly, the Starlink Forum (https://starlinkforum.net) is not owned, operated, or directly associated with Starlink. For these kinds of questions, you need to contact Starlink support. That being said, Starlink has no way to provide you with an IP address located in Burlington, VT. Their network infastructure always provides an IP address associated with the ground station to which you are connected. I have had this conversation with Starlink Support and have been informed that there is no way that they can make this happen.
  14. Contact Starlink Support. There is a post with instructions in another thread. I don’t have the link right now in my phone.
  15. I'm certain the macOS devices have WiFi. From what you said, it seems like both of the printers may be WiFi-ready, too. Can you not connect them all to the Starlink Wifi? Are the printers on the 2.4GHz Wifi band or 5GHz? If you just want to create a separate WiFi network that is not connected to Starlink at all, you can use pretty much any WiFi router you want. My biggest concern would be to ensure that the Starlink Wifi and the third-party WiFI are on different WiFi channels. Starlink doesn't let you control that, so you'd need a third-party router where you can control the WiFi channel selection.
  16. Why not use the Starlink Router's WiFi network?
  17. In English: @Vasco, Em inglés: NOTE: I am NOT familiar with the Devolo Powerline adapters. I have reviewed their specifications and operation on their website, but I have never used them. So, much of what I am about to say would apply to any third-party networking attached to Starlink. That being said, I am relatively certain that this is not a problem with the Starlink Kit. How is the Devolo network connected to the Starlink Router? Is it a wired Ethernet connection? Or is it a WiFi connection? Are you running WiFi on both the Starlink Router (the answer is "yes" if it is not in bypass mode)? If so, have you used a tool like WiFiMan to be sure that the Starlink WiFi and the Devolo Wifi are using different WiFi Channels? If you are using the Starlink WiFi network for any connections, open the Starlink app on a mobile device, login and then split the 2.4GHZ and 5GHz networks. You'll be glad you did. Someone else here my have experience with Devolo's Powerline networking, but I am completely guessing here.
  18. If you login to the Starlink support webiste, you should be able to add the new Starlink Kit. You’ll need the Kit number, which should have been provided by the manufacturer.
  19. Every ISP connection is different. Configuring network hardware such as a Switch or Router to support a particular network is seldom just Plug-N-Play. There are actually quite a lot of things that can go wrong.
  20. I don’t think so. However, the Starlink terms and conditions are all on the website… and they change from time to time. See https://www.starlink.com/legal
  21. As long as the antenna has a clear view of the sky, it doesn’t matter whether it’s mounted flat or slanted pointing in some direction. In fact, for a mobile installation your really want a flat mount. Of course, your Starlink antenna will need an unobstructed view of the sky. So, if your park your RV in a tree-covered area, Starlink might not work so well, regardless of the direction it’s pointed. Also, do you cover your RV when you are not traveling? That could be an issue, too. Do you travel with others in your RV who will want a connection while moving? Ultimately, your decision of how to mount your antenna for effective use both when mobile and at home requires considering a lot of factors. Be careful to think through this and make sure you accommodate them all. in the end, You might be better off keeping your home internet service and only using Starlink when mobile. HTH
  22. The "correct" way to do this is to have the previous owner transfer ownership from their account to your account. If you are not able to contact the previous owner of the Starlink Kit, you can reach out to Starlink Support. However, they may not be able to help you. You best bet is to buy Starlink Equipment directly from Starlink or from an Authorized Reseller like Best Buy. HTH.
