  1. @Bene Bene, I do not know the answer to your question. Perhaps you should contact Starlink Support.
  2. The position of the antenna dish is controlled by Starlink, supposedly to optimize satellite coverage. To my knowledge, there is nothing you can do to change the position manually. As long as it's working...
  3. @StarlinkLeader, I cannot find the QR Code in the app either. Can you provide instructions to @ShannonC so that she can access the QR Code for her WiFi connection?
  4. This appears to be a common problem with Starlink Kits purchased from third parties (i.e., not bought directly from Starlink). I have no idea how to resolve it. From the reports I'm seeing, some customers are able to set up their Kits, but others have returned their Kits to Best Buy for a refund. I suggest calling the reseller where you purchased your Starlink kit and see what they have to say. You may also want to contact Starlink Support.
  5. @Rosa The PCN appears to be required when ordering Starlink outside the United States. Your best best is to contact Starlink Support.
  6. If you have two active dishes, you have two monthly bills.
  7. Go to the Starlink Support login page and try resetting your password. If that doesn't work, open a Support Ticket on the web site (not from your phone or a tablet). Lastly, you can email Starlink Support if there is no other way to reach then.
  8. Si, Only Starlink Support or the selling third-party can assist you with issues involving a third-party hardware purchase.
  9. Please reach out to Starlink Support.
  10. There are numerous threads here that address these issues. Long story short, contact Starlink Support.
  11. Once the router is in bypass mode, I believe most of those features are inaccessible. Set all of that up BEFORE you put the router in bypass mode.
  12. Starlink Customers Are Having Their Accounts Reset – New Fraud System To Blame? - Starlink Hardware Blog In recent weeks, a number of users here in Starlink Forum have reported receiving a notification from Starlink that their Starlink account has been reset or disabled. Yesterday, the Starlink Hardware Blog posted the article linked above which speculates on possible reasons that this has happened. Please read the article for details. More importantly, if you have received a notification from Starlink that your account has been reset or disabled, the article also includes some recommendations on how to get the issue resolved. HTH!
  13. Good news, indeed! Starlink will continue to use your ApplePay card for monthly fees until you tell them not to.
  14. By whom were you told to expect 50-75Mbps speeds? Starlink Support? Other customers in your immediate area? What speed test software are you running? Ookla SpeedTest? Something else? How many devices are connected to your WiFi network? Do you have other WiFi networks in your home? You'll want to use WiFi scanning software because there could be networks that you aren't even aware of being broadcast by Smart TVs, Printers, wireless cameras, etc. Do you have several devices connected wirelessly that are near your router? Do you have separate networks for 5GHz and 2.4GHz (and, if applicable, 6Ghz)? Many devices (e.g., printers, IoT devices, etc.) are only able to connect to a 2.4GHz WiFi network and can create issues when 5GHz and 2.4GHz are served on the same SSID (Network name). Does the Starlink mobile app report any obstructions? You'd probably have to take the modem out of bypass mode to see this. What service do you have? Standard? Roam? Priority? Business? Where are you located? Are you in a remote rural area? Near a large city? Under high-voltage power lines? Near large space telescopes (just kidding... or not...)? There are sooooo many things that can affect WiFI speeds over Starlink's network. Without more information, it's just impossible to say (a) whether you have a problem and, if so, (b) what the problem is. HTH
  15. @OldmanChubbs, Are you logged into the mobile app with your Starlink account credentials? On the web, have you browsed to https://support.starlink.com/ and logged in using your Starlink account credentials? Once you get logged in, in the Mobile app, you can tap Advanced at the bottom right of the main page. This will bring up a couple of options including a button that says "SET UP ANOTHER STARLINK". Tap the button and follow the bouncing cursor... 😉 HTH
  16. Starlink does not offer telephone services of any kind. Your requirement for "...a PSTN line to make (outgoing) calls from without relying on internet or electricity...." limits you to an old-fashioned "land line" connected to a local provider in your area. The PSTN is a regulated utility. Typically, you can only get service from a small number of providers -- maybe only one. So, in the end, contact the local telephone company... HTH
  17. @MarkMac, Take a look at https://forums.mikeholt.com/threads/cat-6-in-same-conduit-with-120-volt-power.2553339/. The discussion is beyond my knowledge of the regulations/standards being discussed, but one post in the thread points out that high voltage and low voltage lines should never be mixed in the same "raceway" (i.e., conduit). HTH
  18. @Fraser In some cases, you must be connected to the Starlink Router's WiFI network in order to see details in the Starlink mobile app.
  19. @Jules The best (and fastest) solution would be for the previous owner to login to Starlink and transfer the system to you. If that can't happen, you might be facing an uphill battle. However, even if there is no way to have the original owner transfer the Starlink Kit, you can reach out to [email protected]. Describe your situation, including your Service Address and Starlink Kit number (if you have it). Expect a response within 10-14 days. Starlink Support have been overwhelmed by the growth of the service in recent months and sometimes take a little time to get to your request. HTH
  20. Do you have other 2.4GHz devices in the area? This could be any one of a number of things. For example... A 2.4GHz wireless telephone system Any Bluetooth devices Smart Home devices (TVs, Thermostats, Alarms, Appliances) that broadcast a WiFi network (look for an unidentified SSID) A wireless printer. My HP Envy 6000 printer broadcasts an SSID for AirPrint devices. Any or all of these can create interference that will reduce the effective signal strength of your Starlink Router's 2.4GHz signal. HTH
  21. Buy a Starlink Kit now with the Standard Residential service plan. Before you move, upgrade to the Global Mobility plan. It will cost you more on a monthly basis, but you should be able to take your Starlink Kit to El Salvador. Once you get the NIT business settled, switch back from Global Mobility to Standard service in El Salvador. Now, this plan is theoretically possible -- assuming I understand Starlink's rules correctly. Might I suggest that you email [email protected], pose your question and my recommendation above and see what they say? It will likely be a week or two before Starlink Support responds. HTH!
