  1. I suspect a grounding issue or cable problem. is the conduit ( PVC ) filled with water by any chance?
  2. Reports have increased - Are you seeing congestion/outage issues? Feel free to reply with: Bandwidth rates - Internet only. ( WiFi only indicates your RF interference 😄 ) Outages, Time Period of which connectivity is offline or not 100%. Region
  3. Starlink is a genuine satellite internet service provider. Starlink which is largely successful - Is not a scam. Have you completed the basic troubleshooting steps? What outage errors are you seeing on the app?
  4. Elon and his team decided to change WiFi names to Stinky upon firmware updates/reset.
  5. Hi Britt Currently not possible as transfer of dish ownership has been paused.
  6. Sorry if its 6-8 years old its not going to connect. I'd recommend plugging in an older WiFI access point and setting up a WPS network. WPS is not secure fyi - they can be broken very easily. You can get an adapter for ethernet from the starlink shop within the app.
  7. Hi There Have you received *any* emails at all from starlink? Checked spam folder?
  8. Sorry to hear of your experience. Did you use the included cable? or your own cable? Also where did the water enter the cable?
  9. Have you tried to login via the old email address and or tried to reset the password on the old email address?
  10. No, However its a nice setup. Fair bit of work has gone into the UI, mapping raw sat constellation data which isn't easy.
  11. UPDATE: Congestion issues have decreased. Public reports of issues have decreased in the past 48 hours - https://downdetector.com/status/starlink/
  12. Have you done a factory reset? Turning it off and on doesn't do much other than, well booting it on. Factory Reset - Turns on an update seek function - Whereby when the satellite(s) ping out, your terminal says hello any updates, im running version x.x.x.x then the satellite will return saying yep, or no and the link to download it. Your router, dishy then updates - Telling it the appropriate frequencies to a) listen on first, b) connect on and c) connection profile Thats why new, or stowed starlink terminals don't connect immediately - because they don't have the provisioning configuration aligned to the current version of configuration on the network. So satellites don't reply back, until they have been updated. E.g if dishy terminal is two versions out of date, needs a factory reset to get a message from the satellites saying " heres an update ".
  13. Currently there is decent congestion on starlink - May explain some of the issues your seeing speed wise even after removing obstacles.
  14. Greetings all Starlink users. " Unofficial update on congestion/slow data speeds" Starlink terminal users maybe experiencing slow data speeds and/or congestion currently in some regions. Starlink RV users in areas of high usage/demand will also be experiencing slow speeds. Whilst engineers work on increasing capacity, and SpaceX is launching more satellites - Be patient, unless your terminal has been offline for longer than 24 hours - Resetting, or restarting your starlink system will not achieve higher bandwidth results or less congestion. If your terminal has been offline for longer than 24 hours, check out https://support.starlink.com for further instructions on how to get your terminal running again. Why is there currently slow speeds? Some regions from our research are experiencing high congestion, low connectivity due to over subscription - E.g Too many clients spread across too little satellites, spectrum bandwidth is being pushed resulting in high congestion levels. Whilst a large number of RV dish terminals are roaming to other areas of which are already at capacity, this is pushing some regions to the limit of the spectrum available. Whats going to solve this problem? - Engineers with lots of coffee.... - More satellites launched to handle capacity alongside groundstations - RV users not venturing into overcapacity areas, or using RV terminal permanently in areas or cells which are typically not available or pending registration status due to capacity. <- This is a problem I'm unsure how they will solve. More updates to come. Feel free to post your speedtests, outage logs and region here in this thread if you are experiencing congestion issues. This will help further users identify if they too maybe experiencing region congestion.
  15. Dish may need to be at current registered service address.
  16. Have you attempted to perform a password reset at auth.starlink.com? Starlink Account Recovery Link - https://auth.starlink.com/forgot-password
  17. The blips are due to the handover during sat coverage cell changeover - This is something being worked on actively afaik - Some regions have less issues with handover between sats, e.g New Zealand currently - The handover is relatively smooth, but traffic is still being routed through USA with occasional routing being tested to NZ. I'd recommend keeping an eye on your traceroutes, use pingplotter ( windows ) for monitoring the handover latency. Also, check out starlink.sx. This can help in getting good reference of sats, vs ground station. From what I've seen, starlink terminals that are closer to groundstations have less handover issues. I do believe there is an issue with apple on starlink router - Whereby only partial connectivity is seen, your not running in bridge mode on the router are you @RIcochet?
  18. Does the SSID/WiFi Network appear? Does it come up with an invalid password? has the network name changed to Stinky by any chance? Have you tried a factory reset?
  19. Id say obstructions have a big part to play. Check out https://starlink.sx for the angle of which sat's come over your dishy.
  20. Hi @Tonopah Because the wifi network's mac address changes as you roam from one access point to another, your mac may identify the mac address change and disconnect - forcing a new search then reconnect. However, the private address function maybe causing an issue as well. Check out this article for more information -> https://blog.elevensoftware.com/how-mac-address-randomization-can-affect-the-wifi-experience
  21. Thank you @Adolfo for your kind feedback 🙂
  22. Something odd going on there - There is usage during the outage period. It may have been running a firmware update. I'd recommend powering off for 20 minutes, turn back on - if still experiencing outage then perform a factory reset as per starlink instructions - the power 3x reset isn't a gauranteed way of factory reset. Any obstructions? bad weather?
  23. Are you following the instructions? Should be a notch in the end of the pole for the cable to come out of, also a rubber grommet.
