  1. @Jim 106, I am a software engineer for a cyber security company that shall remain nameless, but whose initials are S. O. P. H. O. S. 😉 Just to be clear, I am not an engineer for the router software. I work on another product at the company. Anyway... What settings are you looking for (IP Address? MAC Address? Other info?)? I assume here that you are talking about information related to the Starlink connection that are needed for configuration in the Sophos Router. Correct? FWIW, I am about to do something very similar to what you are doing. Starlink High Performance Kit. This arrived recently, but is not installed yet. Sophos XG 2300 Firewall. This is in anticipation of going dual-ISP. Fiber is being installed in our area. Amplifi Alien WiFi 6 Router. I had an Amplifi router a few years ago. It was the most trouble-free WiFi router ever. This Alien is supposed to be the best thing since sliced bread. For the price I paid, it'd better be damn good. I'll post more on this later.
  2. @YAR, I think it would be worth your while to reach out to Starlink Support via email.
  3. @Shifting Backyard Sorry to hear about your experience. I had some difficult times with Starlink Support when I got my first kit -- some hardware-related and some network-related, but definitely all related to the slow response from support to my inquiries. These days -- about 15 months later, things have settled in nicely. I even moved my Starlink across the country into a location where service is not available according to the web site. I did this, of course, after consulting with Starlink Support and getting the go-ahead to do so. One of the big fiber companies showed up at our house about a month ago and asked permission to come onto our property to access the utility poles in order to string fiber-optic cable. I've been pestering the ever-loving #@!$%& out of the company ever since, hoping to get Fiber Internet here. So far, no luck, but I'd bet dollars to donuts we'll be lit by the end of the year. When that happens, I'm not giving up Starlink. I'm going multi-ISP. I figure that Starlink and a fiber-optic connection aren't likely to go out at the same time. So, theoretically, I should always have service on one or the other. 😉 Hope that helps!
  4. @Stathis Moving the Starlink Dishy seems like a good idea given the obstruction graphic you showed. Those are NOT minor obstructions for Starlink. Obstructions are a major cause of network instability with a Starlink connection. You need the obstructions to be minimal to non-existant, preferably under 5%.
  5. @wlh Point your browser at https://support.starlink.com. Search for "change service plan". You'll find the answer there. If you want positive confirmation from Starlink Support, send an email to starlinkresolutions@spacex.com. Thanks!
  6. @DavidK, Firstly, I will assume you have checked the Starlink Router settings and confirmed that it is using the correct SSID and password. Next, have you configured the router to use different SSID's for the 5GHz and 2.4GHz wireless networks? If not, you should do so. Some devices only support 2.4GHz and have trouble connecting to the Starlink Router when a single SSID is used. FWIW, while you'll need two SSID's here -- for example, "StarlinkSsid5G" and "StarlinkSsid24G" -- but they can share the same password, if you want. Next, let's say that a device has established a WiFi connection to the Starlink router. I've seen the situation you described above happen once or twice after a Router software update -- and there have been some major updates in recent months. It seems to me that sometimes the update changes something on the router -- NOT the SSID and/or Password -- that causes previously-connected devices to be unable to connect and fail with an invalid password message. What changes? Honestly, I don't know. It might be Ethernet MAC address of the Starlink router, though I seriously doubt that. In any case, the way I resolved this issue was by removing the SSID from the device (NOT the Starlink Router) and then re-entering the very same SSID and password on the device. Yes, I know this sounds silly. Yes, I know that this is tedious -- especially if you have a lot of IoT devices (I have about 35-40). However, this works and I have not found an easier way to fix the problem. FWIW, this issue occurred once -- before I had Starlink -- when I switched out my wireless router. Even though I set up the new router with the same SSID and Password, every single client had to be touched to delete and re-enter the SSID and Password before it would connect. Exhausting... In the end, you shouldn't need to reset your Starlink Router... and doing so may not help at all. Let us know if this was helpful... or if you decided on another approach, what it was and how it worked out. Thanks!
  7. You’re well beyond my technical expertise here and I’m not quite sure the point you are making. If you’re having trouble accessing web sites that should not be restricted, your best bet is to reach out to Starlink Support.
  8. You need to reach out to Starlink Support. Depending on your Service, this might be possible. However, I don’t think there is anyone here that can answer your question.
  9. Many countries around the world limit access to certain Web sites for one reason or another. Lokewise, some web sites do not respond to traffic from some countries. either way, the restrictions are generally based upon your IP address. It is possible that the Wayback Machine is not available in England. Though I can’t say for certain.
  10. As a Starlink Business customer and by your mention of the “POE brick”, I think you have the larger, High Performance antenna. I just received my High Performance Kit, but haven’t set it up yet. are you using the Starlink RJ-45-terminated cable to connect from the POE Brick to the Draytek Router?
  11. Hmmm... looks like there might be a difference in the connector at the Dishy end of the main cable. @pbeaudet, your connector is hollowed out to allow the cable to go flat down into the pole. The connector that @Triplesticks is showing does not have that hollowed out channel for the cable. @Triplesticks, I would reach out to Starlink Support. You have a couple of options (a support ticket or an email) as outlined in the post below. Thanks!
  12. There is no telephone number for Starlink Support. They can be contacted via email at starlinkresolutsions@spacex.com.
  13. Since both of these routers worked on initial installation, I don't think this is a problem with the routers. In fact, my guess is that a power anomaly (spike?) fried them both. Let me explain. I have lived in rural areas for the last 20 years. I learned early on that electric power in these areas can be "iffy" at best and that it is not uncommon for there to be an electrical spike (high voltage) or brownout (low voltage). Both of these are deadly to digital electronics. My solution was to NEVER directly connect any electronic device to a power outlet. Instead, I buy an appropriately sized UPS (battery backup) that has good power filtering. I suggest a unit from APC or CyberPower. So, before you plug in another new router, go get a UPS. Walmart sells small APC units for under $60 that will be fine for your Starlink Router. While you're at it, by a UPS for each of your computers, your digital TVs, etc. FWIW, you can buy JUST a router in the Starlink Store. Much cheaper than buying a new Starlink Kit.
  14. @davemcc757, Your expectations are consistent with the Terms of Service for Starlink Mobile Priority plans. Check out my post HOWTO: Contacting Starlink Support for details on contacting Starlink Support.
  15. @David dillinger, Starlink assigns IP addresses based up on the POP (Point of Presence) where your traffic goes onto the Internet. There are several POPs around the country, but none in Arizona. Apart from trying a VPN that will give you an Arizona IP address, there is not much you can do. I have asked about this precise issue in the past. I lived in New Mexico and was also getting an LA IP address. I was told that there is no way for Starlink to provide an IP address that would geolocate in New Mexico. I recently moved to TN and brought my Starlink Kit with me. Now, I am getting IP addresses out of Dallas. Thanks!
  16. If you were only offered a Starlink reservation ($99, I think) when you "ordered" Starlink, you will not be able to order your Starlink Kit until you get an email from Starlink notifying you that Starlink is available in your area. If you have been charged the full price of the Starlink Kit, try reaching out to Starlink Support via email (starlinkresolutions@spacex.com). They should be able to help.
  17. @Sadeem, Be sure that you are entering the correct SSID and password. Both are sensitive to upper- and lower-case differences. So, if your SSID is 'My-Starlink-Network', it is necessary to use the same capitalization when connecting. The same is true of the password. Secondly, if you have not already, open the Starlink app on the connected phone and check the box to separate the 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz wireless networks. You will need to use different SSIDs (names) for the two networks. For example, you could set the 5Ghz network name to 'MyStarlink5G' and use 'MyStarlink' for the 2.4Ghz network. Some devices do not support 5Ghz Wifi and may not connect to the 2.4Ghz Wifi network unless you make this change. Thanks!
  18. According to the Starlink Support Web site (support.starlink.com), Starlink Maritime can be used anywhere in the world. Thanks!
  19. If this person does not know the email address and/or password used to set up the account, they should contact Starlink Support (starlinkresolutions@spacex.com) to request assistance. They should provide the service address and, if available, the account number and/or Starlink Kit number (on the original box). Thanks!
  20. What payment was deducted from your debit account? If it was the $99 deposit, your should receive a confirmation email when Starlink is available in your area. You will not be charged for the Starlink Kit until you receive this email and confirm your order. If it was the charge for your Starlink Kit, you should try resetting your password (https://auth.starlink.com/forgot-password). It is possible that you mis-typed your email address and, if so, you will not be able to reset your password. In this case contact Starlink Support (starlinkresolution@spacex.com) via email for assistance. Thanks
  21. The first IP Address that starts with 65 is an IPv4 Address. The second IP Address starting with 2406 is an IPv6 Address. (See https://www.lifewire.com/ipv4-vs-ipv6-4780834 for an explanation of the differences). The entire Internet is transitioning from IPv4 to IPv6. In today's world, some parts of the Internet require an IPv4 address and others an IPv6 address. Starlink's network is natively IPv6, but they also provide you with an IPv4 address for compatibility with non-IPv6 sites on the the Internet. Though I am uncertain why you are getting an Australian IPv4 address and an Indonesian IPv6 address, you don't really need to worry about that -- at least not yet. The only possible effect is that any IPv6 site that is restricted in Indonesia may not be available to you. Hope that helps.
  22. Try a hard reset on your modem. How? unplug the power cord and plug it back in six times as fast as you can. Don’t stress over how hard it is, just do it as quickly as you can. This will reset your modem to factory settings. It will come up with a WiFi network named Stinky or Dishy or Starlink. Connect to that network. You will have to set up your WiFi network name and password again. hope that helps. If not, contact Starlink support through a ticket or email at StarlinkResolutions@SpaceX.com. Thanks!
  23. I think the only issue will be how to mount the antenna and get it pointed in the right direction. If I am not mistaken, the Flat High Performance antenna does not have the servos needed to auto -orient in the direction of the satellites. On the other hand, if you mount it on a flat surFace with. It obstructions, I don’t see why it wouldn’t work just like it does mounted on the roof of an RV.
